Market Assessment and Business Modelling
Conducted a benchmark of leading social protection programs across the world, with emphasis on the governance, organization, partnerships, monitoring & evaluation, and technology architecture, and distilled learnings to advise public stakeholders on best practices in support of the development of a national social investment strategy.
Assessed the health landscape in West Africa to understand the demand- supply dynamics around access to clinical care for non-communicable diseases, and shaped findings into a feasibility assessment and business model design for a medical centre of excellence in West Africa.
Led a team of consultants to conduct a feasibility and market assessment study on the Nigerian healthcare space to advise on the viability of a 120-bed multispecialty hospital. Developed a high-level business model concept and collated data (disease burden estimates, pricing analysis, hospital CAPEX and OPEX) to inform the projection of 10-year financials and development of a financial model to determine the rate of return of the hospital project. Presented a compelling case that was approved by the client’s management team and board of directors.
Led a team of consultants to assess the digital entrepreneurship landscape in Nigeria, with particular focus on innovation hubs, investors and entrepreneurs, to identify opportunities for closing the gaps towards attainment of the DE4Africa agenda to see all institutions and individuals in Africa digitally enabled by 2030
Conducted an in-depth benchmark analysis of successful innovation hubs in Africa (regional) and other parts of the world (global) to support the conceptual design of innovation hubs in Nigeria. Assessed business models of regional hubs to glean learnings from their key offerings, resources, target customers and customer relationship approach, cost and revenue structure and partnerships. Also, assessed the macro-environment of the countries these hubs were situated to deduce key considerations for the project sponsor on the role of the government in the set-up of the local innovation hubs
Built an automated scenario-based financial model to provide client a full view of business model options and future financial performance depending on which model the client business decided to adopt as it transitioned from a non-profit to a standalone organization.

Developed a simplified financial model template for startups to improve the process of business planning for early-stage entrepreneurs with limited accounting experience, and enable them to develop cash flow, P/L and balance sheet projections for their business to demonstrate readiness for investment.
Business Strategy
● Corporate Strategy
Led a team of consultants to develop a customer experience strategy for a telecoms client, which included conducting Voice of Customer Analysis, generating customer journey maps, identifying customer segments and potential serviceable market in volume and value for each segment, identifying required capabilities, and redesigning business processes and policies to drive the new customer-centric way of working. Presented strategic plan to client executive management, which was approved for implementation.
Supported the formulation of a five-year strategy for a private sector coalition aimed at mobilizing businesses to improve nutrition in emerging countries and identified high-level interventions for driving objectives across: production of nutritious food and drink; increase of consumer nutrition awareness and knowledge; food fortification; water, sanitation and hygiene; and improved logistics for nutrition.
Strategic visioning and retreat facilitation
Facilitated the strategy retreat for the premier government agency in Lagos State for SDGs and investment. Crafted workshop agenda and schedule of activities for 2-day workshop, including guest speaker presentations, and facilitated management visioning / brainstorming sessions.
Supported the facilitation of a financial services client’s annual board retreat session through the development of board pre-reads including the business’s strategic review, operational diagnostic, landscape assessment and case studies of aspirational peers from other emerging economies. Supported business leaders in shaping their board presentation materials by crafting content and shaping the storylines to present the highlights, accomplishments, lessons learned and key action areas for each functional area headed by the business leaders.
Operating Model Design
Led a team of consultants to design a corporate centre model for a holding company with businesses across multiple industries. Developed a corporate governance framework to guide the appointment and execution of duties of the Board of Directors. Mapped out an organizational structure in line with the client’s guiding principles of agility, accountability, cost efficiencies and operational excellence. Provided oversight on the documentation of standard operating procedures, with policies and process KPIs to guide and track execution. Created a Performance Management Framework detailing the desired competencies and proficiency levels, frequency, rating scales, reward and consequence management structures for ensuring employee performance aligns to business objectives.
Supported the identification and prioritization of cost-saving initiatives to reduce total client SG&A spend by 15%, and developed a business case to model the cost-benefit implications of implementing the identified initiatives over the next five years
Identified 15% process savings for a Finance organization after conducting a Lean process review, identifying process waste using the TIMWOOD framework and opportunities for eliminating them. Developed and partly deployed initiatives to improve productivity of employees.
Developed a benchmark report on the import logistics process in Nigeria for a multinational retail apparel client. Interviewed key players including customs staff, banks, standards agencies, importing firms to establish the current state, and generated recommendations for the client to improve their internal processes.
Project Management
Provided project management support for a business restructuring initiative involving mergers, which included a daily war-room session for 2 weeks up to go-live. Simplified and consolidated project plans from nine independent work streams and facilitated status meetings to ensure rigorous monitoring and tracking of progress. Developed a launch plan at the end of the 2 weeks detailing the status of initiatives and close-out/recovery steps to be taken to ensure success of launch plan.
Provided project management support for the roll-out of a pilot Route-to- Market program, which involved initiatives to enhance outlet activation, customer management, sales force effectiveness, and the implementation of a sales force automation solution. Developed and facilitated an efficient meeting rhythm system to ensure sales executives, managers and distributor team were provided timely status updates on the progress of the initiative roll-out and presented emerging risks and issues for their attention and action. Monitored risk, issues and agreed recovery plans to confirm timely execution and resolution as appropriate
Developed a holistic screening methodology to provide rigor and transparency in the evaluation of over 10,000 startups, for a business acceleration program. Led a team of twelve evaluators to execute the evaluation process and deliver outcomes, meeting time, quality and budget requirements.
Coordinated the evaluation and documentation of actionable feedback to 2,000 African entrepreneurs (across two program cycles) participating in a business acceleration program on their business plans, to enable the entrepreneurs to strengthen their overall business proposition and demonstrate their readiness for seed funding.
Change Management
Designed and deployed a Change Framework to support FMCG client undergoing organization- wide restructuring, including a merger of two separate sales organization. Identified and prioritized relevant stakeholders and stakeholder groups, using empirical data on contribution to program net benefit and impact, and articulated an Engagement Plan detailing objective, messages, timing, communication vehicles/channels and expected outcomes. Set up and enabled a Change Network made up of change agents across multiple business functions who were provided tools and knowledge to identify critical areas in their function to be impacted by the change, identify intervention steps, engage peers and colleagues via town halls and surveys on the change and build buy-in and support in their teams.
Supported a corporate restructuring initiative at a national conglomerate with six business subsidiaries and 9,000 employees through change management initiatives, which included the identification, mapping and engagement of all impacted stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure buy-in, and the design and deployment of targeted and timely communication messages through the most appropriate channels to the stakeholders.
Supported the design and implementation of end user trainings for an SAP implementation effort. Developed a training schedule, provided training delivery support and generated job aids that resulted in 85% adoption rate, and minimal disruption to business activities at go- live.
Conducted trainings to drive knowledge transfer after the implementation of a new Performance Management framework at a consumer goods company. Also, generated job aids/user guides detailing critical process steps.
Enterprise Performance Management
Conducted nationwide performance monitoring of sales of 35 products for 6 months for a consumer goods client. This task involved engagement with field staff to gain insight into observed trends, market analysis of competitor brands, and development of performance reporting tools to enhance executive & management’s visibility of areal, regional and national product performance.
Designed and deployed market surveys and retail tracking tools to capture lost sales opportunities and competitor promotional activities as part of efforts to support the deployment of a new route-to-market model at top distributor. Supported retail trade census by reviewing trade data and generating insights on a weekly basis.
Developed an automated Excel-based performance dashboard comprising of eight business reports to streamline data collation and analysis and improve tracking of performance at executive, management and field sales role levels.
